Sajda or Sajdah (Prostration, Worship, Adoration) has an important part in Islam. There is also a chapter in Quran Surat As-Sajdah (Arabic: سورة السجدة) it is the 32nd Surah of the Qur'an with 30 verses.
Prostration is also found in the Torah, Bible, Zen Avesta, Bhagvad-Gita etc which were before the Quran, and it is important in many other religions.
